Pro gradu thesis: Users’ satisfaction on VisitRovaniemi website
In his pro gradu thesis, Joseph Sunday studied users’ satisfaction on Rovaniemi’s tourist information webpage. A self-administered survey was conducted at various sights in Rovaniemi in the spring of 2015, resulting in 147 responses
Four perspectives of the website were evaluated: user friendliness, site attractiveness, marketing effectiveness and destination information. Of these, the respondents were most satisfied with user friendliness. Of the individual (26) items, the following had the highest satisfaction rates: information about attractions to visit, availability of telephone numbers, information available in language(s), clear and readable text, information about accommodation possibilities, attractive photos and images, and availability of email addresses.
The results revealed that, contrary to assumptions, female, young people, people with previous travel experience to Rovaniemi and people with Internet expertise were somewhat more satisfied with VisitRovaniemi.
